Ingredients:
- 1 dozen - eggs
- 2 teaspoons - anise
- 9 cups - flour
- 6 teaspoons - baking powder
- 1 1/3 cups - sugar
- 1/2 cups - butter
- - water and powdered sugar for glaze
- 1 dozen - eggs

- 6 teaspoons - baking powder
- 1 1/3 cups - sugar
- 1/2 cups - butter
- - water and powdered sugar for glaze
Directions:
Beat eggs and anise.
Mix flour and baking powder and sugar by hand.
Melt butter; pour over dough and hand mix real good.
Take size of egg and roll out on small amount of flour like a clothes line. Tie in a loose knot.
Place in greased pan; bake at 250 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes. Do not brown.
Ice with water and powdered sugar. Pour over knots in a large pan.
