Greek (Cincinnati) Chili

Ingredients:

  1. 2 pounds - ground beef
  2. 1 teaspoons - cinnamon
  3. 2 - large onions chopped
  4. 2 teaspoons - Worcestershire sauce
  5. 1 tablespoons - chili powder
  6. 1 teaspoons - chili powder
  7. 1 teaspoons - black pepper
  8. 1 tablespoons - salt
  9. 1 teaspoons - red pepper
  10. 1 cans - tomato paste 6 oz.
  11. 1 tablespoons - vinegar
  12. 5 cups - water
  13. 1 teaspoons - allspice
  14. 3 - bay leaves
  15. 1 teaspoons - cumin optional
  16. 2 cloves - garlic minced, optional
  17. - shredded colby cheese if desired, for garnish

Directions:

Do not brown meat. Place water in pan, crumble meat into water, and add all other ingredients; simmer for 4-5 hours.

As this slowly simmers, it will become very thick. After this occurs, remove all the bay leaves and allow to cool a bit. Then put mixture through the blender or use a blender stick to blend in pan.
Skim off grease on top of ground beef, if needed.
Garnish with cheese, if desired, when serving.
