Ingredients:

  1. 1 kilograms - Carrot
  2. 1 1/2 liters - Milk
  3. 8 pieces - Green cardamoms
  4. 7 tablespoons - ghee/clarified butter
  5. 7 tablespoons - Sugar
  6. 2 tablespoons - Raisins
  7. 1 tablespoons - Shredded almonds
  8. 2 tablespoons - Chopped dates

Directions:

1) Do peeling and grating of carrots
2) Simmer grated carrots in milk along with cardamom, waiting till the milk evaporates
3) In a heavy pan, heat Ghee and add carrot mix
4) For 10 to 15 minutes, cook this mix over a gentle flame
5) Stir in sugar and resume cooking till Halwa assumes a deep red hue
6) Add dry fruits and serve warm.
