A dessert for all seasons. Excellent by it's self but may serve with cool whip or ice cream - vanilla, peach or blueberry ice cream.

Best topping I have ever had! Add some blueberries to make another excellent cobbler. Also makes a wonderful apple cobbler.

Ingredients:
- 8 - fresh peaches peeled/pitted/sliced into thin wedges
- 1/4 cups - white sugar (or less)
- 1/4 cups - brown sugar (or less)
- 1/4 teaspoons - cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoons - nutmeg
- 1 teaspoons - lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons - cornstarch
- 1 cups - flour
- 1/4 cups - white sugar
- 1/4 cups - brown sugar
- 1 teaspoons - baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoons - salt
- 6 tablespoons - unsalted butter (salted is OK) chilled/cut into small pieces
- 1/4 cups - boiling water
- 1 tablespoons - white sugar
- 1/4 teaspoons - cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Combine peaches, first 2 sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice,cornstarch. Toss to coat evenly. Pour into 2 qt. baking dish.
Combine 2nd two sugars, baking powder, salt. Blend in butter with fingertips or pastry blender, until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in water until combined.
Drop spoonfuls of topping over peaches. Mix 1 T. sugar & 1/2 t. cinnamon & sprinkle over top .
Bake until topping is golden - about 30 mins.
