Failproof Chocolate Sheet Cake

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups - sugar
  2. 2 cups - flour
  3. 2 sticks - butter
  4. 4 tablespoons - cocoa
  5. 1 cups - water
  6. 1/2 cups - buttermilk
  7. 2 - eggs beaten
  8. 1 teaspoons - baking soda
  9. 1 teaspoons - cinnamon
  10. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  11. 1 sticks - butter
  12. 6 tablespoons - milk
  13. 4 tablespoons - cocoa
  14. 1 pounds - confectioners' sugar
  15. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  16. 1 cups - nuts chopped

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, sift together sugar and flour. In a saucepan melt butter with cocoa and water; mix well and then pour over flour & sugar.
Add remaining cake ingredients and mix well. Pour into sheetcake pan (greased) and bake at 400° F for 20 minutes.
For icing: Melt butter with milk and cocoa in saucepan. Remove from heat and add confectioners' sugar, vanilla, and chopped nuts.
Pour over cake while cake and icing are both hot.
