Ingredients:

  1. 8 - Tart apples makes 6 cups sliced
  2. 1 1/4 teaspoons - Ground cinnamon
  3. 1/4 teaspoons - Ground allspice
  4. 1/4 teaspoons - Ground nutmeg
  5. 3/4 cups - Milk
  6. 3/4 cups - Sugar
  7. 2 - Eggs
  8. 1 teaspoons - vanilla extract
  9. 1 1/2 cups - Bisquick or other baking mix divided; (flour?)
  10. 1/3 cups - Brown Sugar
  11. 3 tablespoons - Cold butter or margarine (I used 1 1/2 Tbsp to reduce fat)
  12. 1/2 cups - Sliced almonds or other kind of nut
  13. - Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

  26. - Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

Directions:

1. Peel and slice the apples
2. In a large bowl, toss apples with cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg.
3. Place in a large (4-6 qt) greased crockpot.
4. In another bowl, combine milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and 1/2 cup of Bisquick.
5. Spoon over apples.
6. In another bowl, combine 1 cup of Bisquick with brown sugar.
7. Cut in cold butter or margarine until crumbly.
8. Add sliced almonds.
9. Sprinkle the streusel topping over the apples in the crockpot.
10. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until the apples are tender.
11. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
