Ingredients:
- 4 cups - chopped broccoli OR 2 pkgs 10 oz. frozen broccoli thawed
- 1/2 cups - chopped onion
- 3 cups - water
- 6 - chicken bouillon cubes
- 1/2 teaspoons - thyme leaves
- 1/8 teaspoons - garlic powder
- 1/4 cups - butter or margarine
- 1/4 cups - unsifted flour
- 1/8 teaspoons - pepper
- 2 cups - milk
- 4 cups - chopped broccoli OR 2 pkgs 10 oz. frozen broccoli thawed
- 1/2 cups - chopped onion
- 3 cups - water
- 6 - chicken bouillon cubes
- 1/2 teaspoons - thyme leaves
- 1/8 teaspoons - garlic powder
- 1/4 cups - butter or margarine
- 1/4 cups - unsifted flour
- 1/8 teaspoons - pepper
- 2 cups - milk
Directions:
Combine broccoli, onion, water and bouillon (or chicken broth), thyme and garlic powder. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, 15 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
In a medium saucepan, melt margarine; stir in flour and pepper until smooth. Stir in milk or cream, cook and stir until thickened.
Add to broccoli mixture; heat through (do not boil).
