    These cookies are supposed to be soft and chewy. You can alter the texture by changing the following: Thin and Crisp: 2 1/2 sticks of butter, 1 1/4 cup sugar, 3/4 cup brown sugar. Light and Cakey: (Less sugar) 1 3/4 sticks of butter, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar

Ingredients:

  1. 2 sticks - Butter Softened
  2. 1/2 cups - Sugar
  3. 1 cups - Brown Sugar
  4. 2 whole - Eggs
  5. 2 teaspoons - Vanilla
  6. 2 1/4 cups - Flour
  7. 1/2 teaspoons - Baking soda
  8. 1 teaspoons - Salt
  9. 1 1/2 cups - Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips Can add up to 2 cups

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Then, mix together next 3 ingredients in a separate bowl. Add flour mixture to the first 5 ingredients and mix well till all flour is incorporated. Finally, mix in chocolate chips.
Drop tablespoon size dough, 2 inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet(s).
Bake until golden brown on edges but still soft in the center. About 8-10 minutes. Cool on pan for a few minutes then transfer to other area or wire rack to cool completely.
