Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 6 - fully cooked chicken sausage links
- 1 - sheet puff pastry thawed
- 2 tablespoons - yellow mustard (or Dijon)
- 1 - egg beaten
- 1 tablespoons - to 2 Tbsp Trader Joe's Everything But the Bagel seasoning (or coarse salt and poppy seeds)
- 1/2 cups - Dijon or favorite mustard for dipping
Directions:
Pat sausage dry with paper towels. Unroll puff pastry on lightly floured work surface. Cut pastry into six equal pieces.
Lightly brush pastry with Dijon or yellow mustard. Roll up one sausage link in the pastry, making sure the edges seal well. Repeat with remaining puff pastry and sausages.
Place on a plate and chill in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 425° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Brush rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle all over with bagel seasoning. Cut each roll into 5 or 6 pieces, diagonally for better presentation; place seam side down on baking sheet (pressing ends of dough together to maintain a good seal while baking - otherwise the dough will separate and pull away from the sausage).
Bake for 20 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes to cool slightly before serving.
Serve warm or at room temperature with mustard or other dipping sauce, as desired.
