Chicken ala King

Ingredients:

  1. 1/3 cups - butter
  2. 1/4 - green pepper diced
  3. 1 cans - 4 oz. drained mushrooms (OR fresh sliced)
  4. 1/3 cups - flour
  5. 1/8 teaspoons - salt
  6. 1/8 teaspoons - pepper
  7. 1 1/2 cups - chicken broth
  8. 1/2 cups - coffee cream
  9. 2 - egg yolks beaten
  10. 2 cups - diced, cooked chicken
  11. 1 packages - 10 oz. frozen peas cooked
  12. 2 tablespoons - chopped pimiento
  13. - cooked rice or chow mein noodles for serving with

Directions:

Saute green pepper and mushrooms in butter; stir in flour and seasonings.

Add broth and cream slowly, stirring until thickened.

Add yolks. Reduce heat, and add remaining ingredients (chicken, peas, and pimiento).

Serve over chow mein noodles or rice.
