Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons - Butter
- 2 pounds - Yellow Onions Thinly Sliced
- 1 tablespoons - Balsamic Vinegar
- 8 ounces - Cream Cheese
- 1/2 cups - Sour Cream
- 1/2 cups - Mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons - Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 cloves - Garlic Clove Grated
- 1/2 teaspoons - Kosher Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons - Black Pepper
- 1 bulbs - Green Onion Thinly Sliced
- 1 bags - Potato Chips
Directions:
1 - Heat a 12-inch cast-iron skillet or heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat; add the butter. Once the butter is melted and starts to bubble, add the onions. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 2 minutes. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are deep golden brown, 45 to 50 minutes. Add the balsamic vinegar and stir to combine; cook for 2 more minutes.
2 - Transfer the onion mixture to a plate and let cool completely.
3 - Beat the cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium until smooth. Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, pepper, and reserved caramelized onions, stirring until combined.
4 - Transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with sliced green onion and serve with potato chips and crackers.
Tip: Make this a day or two in advance. This is one of those dips that seems to taste better and better the longer it sits in the fridge!
