Caramel Squares

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cups - flour
  2. 1/4 cups - sugar
  3. 1/2 cups - butter
  4. 1/2 cups - butter
  5. 2 tablespoons - corn syrup
  6. 1/2 cups - brown sugar
  7. 1/2 cups - Eagle Brand condensed milk
  8. 2 bars - or 3 bars dairy milk chocolate
  9. 1 teaspoons - butter

Directions:

Base:
Mix together base ingredients until crumbly and press into an 8-x-8-inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees F for 20 minutes.

Filling:
Mix together filling ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Lower heat and cook for 5 minutes. Pour over baked base.

Topping:
Melt the dairy milk chocolate bars with butter; spread over caramel filling. Chill.

Freezes well, too. Enjoy!
