Bushman Mushrooms

Ingredients:

  1. 3 ounces - Whole fresh mushrooms
  2. 1/2 cups - All-purpose flour
  3. 1/2 teaspoons - Salt
  4. 1/4 teaspoons - Dry mustard
  5. 1/4 teaspoons - Paprika
  6. dashes - Pepper
  7. 1/2 cups - Buttermilk
  8. - Oil for frying
  9. 3 ounces - Whole fresh mushrooms
  10. 1/2 cups - All-purpose flour
  11. 1/2 teaspoons - Salt
  12. 1/4 teaspoons - Dry mustard
  13. 1/4 teaspoons - Paprika
  14. dashes - Pepper
  15. 1/2 cups - Buttermilk
  16. - Oil for frying

Directions:

Mix flour, salt, mustard, paprika and pepper in large bag. Set aside.

Place buttermilk in small bowl. Dip a few mushrooms at a time in buttermilk.

Place in bag with flour mixture. Shake to coat.

Heat 2 to 3 inches of oil in deep fryer or heavy saucepan to 375 degrees. Fry a few mushrooms at a time, 2 to 3 minutes, or until deep golden brown, turning over several times.
