Ingredients:
- 1/2 cups - brown sugar
- 1/2 cups - peanut butter
- 1/2 cups - corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons - butter
- 2 cups - Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cups - salted peanuts
- 1 cups - to 2 cups chocolate chips as desired
Directions:
Melt the sugar, peanut butter, corn syrup and butter in a large saucepan.
Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies and peanuts. Mix well.
Put into a greased 9x9-inch square pan. Cover with chocolate chips and place in 250ºF oven to melt. When chocolate is melted, remove from oven and spread chocolate over base.
Refrigerate. Cut into squares when cooled.
Down memory lane: Has been a favourite of the family since early mid-80s. My #2 son’s girlfriend (now wife) loved them so much and would request them whenever she came for dinner. They became known as the Biggsavakis Squares - a combination of both Biggs and Koutsavakis.
