*I usually keep the apple skin on, because otherwise I think the recipe lacks texture. Tastes just as good if you peel the apples! *Unlike with apple pie, the choice of apple isn't so critical. I like granny smith for their sourness, but I also like whatever apples are overripe in my fridge!

Ingredients:
- 4 - apples, cored and roughly chopped*
- 1/4 cups - pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons - coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoons - vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons - ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons - ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoons - ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoons - salt
- 4 - apples, cored and roughly chopped*
- 1/4 cups - pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons - coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoons - vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons - ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons - ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoons - ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoons - salt
Directions:
1. Preheat over to 350 deg F.
2. Over medium heat on the stove, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. (If you can, use an over safe pot or skillet.) Stir a few minutes until the liquid thickens slightly.
3. Transfer to oven and bake for 30 minutes, stirring halfway through. The apples are ready when they are tender and caramelized.
