Ingredients:
- 2 - Granny Smith Apples peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 teaspoons - Lemon Juice
- 3 tablespoons - Granulated Sugar
- 1 tablespoons - All-Purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoons - Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons - Ground Nutmeg
- 8 pieces - Phyllo Pastry Sheets
- 2 1/4 teaspoons - Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture 2tsp Sugar, 1/4tsp Cinnamon
- 2 - Granny Smith Apples peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 teaspoons - Lemon Juice
- 3 tablespoons - Granulated Sugar
- 1 tablespoons - All-Purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoons - Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons - Ground Nutmeg
- 8 pieces - Phyllo Pastry Sheets
- 2 1/4 teaspoons - Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture 2tsp Sugar, 1/4tsp Cinnamon
Directions:
Mix all filling ingrediants. Place stacked phyllo sheets on a flat surface. Lightly coat with nonstick cooking spray. Top with another sheet. Cut lengthwise in three 4-inch wide strips. Move strips apart. Mound 1 heaping tablespoon filling at one end, about 1 inch from the corner. Fold opposite corner at same end over the filling, forming a triangle. Continue folding up the strip, as you would a flag, until the end.
Repeat with remaining phyllo and filling. You should have 12 turnovers.
Heat oven to 400°F and lightly coat a cookie sheet with nonstick spray.
Arrange turnovers seam-side down. Lightly top with cooking spray and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Bake 15-17 minutes until golden. Place on wire rack to cool.
