Obviously, this is not a vegan recipe. I've tagged some recipes vegan, even when they have animal products, because the recipe (or, in this case, the technique) can be modified very easily to a vegan dish without losing any awesomeness.

Ingredients:
- - Whatever you like for stew or soup! Here is a recipe for chicken stew with herbs:
- 3 cups - diced peeled potatoes
- 3 - large carrots, cut into chunks
- 3 - large celery stalks, cut into chunks
- 1 - medium onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons - minced garlic
- 1 teaspoons - ground sage
- 1 teaspoons - thyme
- 1/2 teaspoons - dried basil
- 1 teaspoons - kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoons - black pepper
- 3 cups - chicken (or vegetable) broth
- 1 pounds - chicken (optional)

Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to a slow cooker, pressure cooker, or large pot on stove.
2. Cook until the meat (or potatoes/root veggies, if you’ve left out meat) is done.
3. (Here's the magic:) Ladle 2 cups of veggies and broth into a blender (or separate bowl, if you have an immersion blender). Avoid ladling the meat. Puree.
4. Stir the pureed soup back into the main pot. Season to taste and serve!
