3 Ways to Use Lemons

See these 3 easy ways to use lemons (and other citrus fruits) which contain citric acid, to work wonders in neutralizing odors and freshening up the kitchen.  The lemony smell leaves behind a pleasant aroma after cleaning is finished.  It works especially well on food odors.

1.     Deodorize your dishwasher with the juice of a lemon – Add 1 cup of lemon juice (fresh squeezed is best) to the bottom of your dishwasher and run just the rinse cycle to disinfect and deodorize it.

2.     Freshen up your whole kitchen – Fill a pot with water; then add lemon (and / or orange) peels, cinnamon sticks, and cloves.  Simmer on the stove over low heat to fill the kitchen with an inviting aroma.

3.     Deodorize your sink and garbage  disposal – Put a handful of lemon, lime or orange peels in the sink garbage disposal and run with water.

Enjoy using lemons to bring a fresh sparkle and aroma to your kitchen, whether cleaning, deodorizing, disinfecting, or simply preparing for guests.
