Whole Wheat Rolls Tell a Friend

Ingredients:

  • 1 packages - yeast (1 tablespoon)
  • 1/4 cups - warm water
  • 1 cups - milk, scalded
  • 1 teaspoons - salt
  • 1/3 cups - shortening or butter
  • 1/4 cups - brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoons - molasses
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups - whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • Directions:

    Soften yeast in water.

    Mix together milk, salt, shortening, brown sugar, molasses and eggs.

    Add whole wheat flour; mix well. Add yeast mixture; mix well. Add rest of flour; mix well.

    Place into greased bowl and let rise. Punch dough down, and let rise again.

    Form into rolls; let rise.

    Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes.
