Ingredients:

  • 1 - medium sized onion
  • 1/4 cups - green pepper , cut into strips
  • 1 1/2 cups - sliced celery
  • 1/4 cups - butter
  • 1 cups - hot water
  • 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  • 1 cans - tuna, broken into large pieces
  • 1 cans - chow mein vegetables (No. 2 can), drained
  • 1 teaspoons - cold water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons - corn starch
  • 2 tablespoons - soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoons - sugar
  • - Chinese fried noodles or cooked rice, for serving with
  • Directions:

    Quarter and separate the sections of the onion. Cook onion, green pepper strips, and sliced celery in butter for 3 minutes.

    Add hot water and salt and cook for 5 minutes.

    Add tuna and chow mein vegetables; heat thoroughly.

    Combine the cold water, corn starch, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir into mixture, and cook 1 minute longer.

    Serve over Chinese fried noodles or rice.
