Toasted Rice Dressing Tell a Friend

  • 2 cups - uncooked rice
  • 2 cups - chopped onion
  • 2 cups - chopped celery
  • 2 cups - chopped green pepper
  • 2 teaspoons - salt
  • 10 - chicken bouillon cubes
  • 5 cups - boiling water
  • 2 - eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tablespoons - poultry seasoning
  • 1 cups - toasted almonds
  • Directions:

    Spread uncooked rice in shallow pan and toast in 350 degrees F oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until grains are golden brown (stirring occasionally).

    In large pot, add bouillon cubes to boiling water and dissolve. Put onion, celery, green pepper and salt into bouillon mixture and bring to boiling. Add toasted rice.

    Turn heat to low, cover, and simmer mixture for 25 minutes.

    Remove from heat, fold in eggs, poultry seasoning and toasted slivered almonds.

    Stuff turkey lightly and roast it.
