Thai Green Khichdi with Kadhi Tell a Friend

Ingredients:

For Green Paste
  • 15 leaves - Basil
  • 1/2 cups - Coriander
  • 1 tablespoons - Lemon Juice
  • 5 cloves - Garlic
  • 3 pieces - Green Chilies
  • 1/2 pieces - Ginger
  • 2 sticks - Lemon Grass
  • 1 tablespoons - Onion, Chopped
  • 1 teaspoons - Lemon Zest
  • 1 teaspoons - Oil
  • For Khichdi
  • 1 tablespoons - Ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoons - Cumin Seeds
  • 2 tablespoons - French Beans, Blanched
  • 2 tablespoons - Capsicum, Chopped
  • 2 tablespoons - Green Peas, Blanched
  • 2 teaspoons - Broccoli, Blanched
  • 2 tablespoons - Shahi Khichdi Masala
  • - Green Paste, As Required
  • 1 cups - Toor Dal and Rice, Boiled with turmeric and salt
  • 2 tablespoons - Coriander
  • For Kadhi
  • 1 tablespoons - Besan
  • 1/2 cups - Curd
  • 1 1/4 cups - Water
  • 1 tablespoons - Ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoons - Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoons - Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoons - Fenugreek Leaves
  • 2 pieces - Green Chilies
  • 10 leaves - Kadipatta
  • 3 teaspoons - Kadhi Masala
  • 1 tablespoons - Sugar
  • 1 teaspoons - Lemon Juice
  • - Coriander, As Required
  • - Radish, To Garnish
  • - Marinated Onions, To Garnish, add salt and a bit of beet for color
  • Directions:

    For Green Paste
    Crush everything and make the paste.

    For Khichdi
    Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds.
    Add french beans, peas, capsicum and broccoli and saute.
    Now add khichdi masala, green paste, khichdi and mix together.
    Add coriander and mix.

    For Kadhi
    In a bowl, take besan, curd and water and whisk together.
    Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek leaves, green chilies, curry leaves and kadhi masala.
    Now add besan mixture, water and sugar and cook together.
    Now add lemon juice and coriander.

    Serve hot.
