Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle Tell a Friend

  • 2 quarts - Fresh strawberries, Stemmed & sliced
  • 2 tablespoons - Sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons - Almond extract or Amaretto, Divided use
  • 2 packages - 8-oz. each cream cheese, At room temperature
  • 1 cups - Dairy sour cream
  • 2 cups - Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoons - Vanilla extract
  • 1 tubs - 16-oz. Whipped topping
  • 1 whole - Large angel food or pound cake, Torn into pieces
  • Directions:

    1. Set aside some berries for garnish. Mix remaining berries w/ sugar and 2 tsp. almond extract or Amaretto. Set aside.
    2. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, powdered sugar, vanilla and remaining 1/4 tsp. almond extract or Amaretto. Fold in whipped topping.
    3. In a trifle bowl, layer 1/2 cake, 1/2 berries and 1/2 cream cheese mixture; repeat layers. Garnish w/ remaining berries. Refrigerate until serving time.
