Can substitute 2 cups all-purpose flour for cake flour, if necessary.
Do not place batter into greased & floured pans until ready to put into oven.
For marble cake: after mixing batter, remove 3/4 cup batter and mix with 2 tablespoons cocoa. Pour vanilla batter into cake pans, then drop chocolate batter into and "knife" swirl in the chocolate batter for a marbled look.
For cupcakes: pour batter into paper-lined muffin cups, filling each 1/2 full. Bake 20 minutes.
