Savory Caprese Bread Tell a Friend

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 1 cups - bread flour
  • 2 teaspoons - baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons - baking soda
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  • 3 1/2 ounces - to 4 oz. cubed, fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons - chopped fresh basil
  • 1/3 cups - chopped sun-dried tomatoes (not packed)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons - grapeseed oil OR extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/4 cups - buttermilk
  • 2 - eggs
  • Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease bread pan.

    Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

    Add basil, mozzarella, and sun-dried tomatoes to the flour and mix until incorporated.

    In separate bowl, whisk together eggs, oil and buttermilk.

    Pour liquids into flour mixture and mix with a wooden spoon until well combined.

    Spread evenly in pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.
