Ingredients:

  • 4 whole - egg whites
  • 2 1/3 cups - powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 cups - almond flour
  • 10 ounces - dipping chocolate, *add 1/2 teaspoon shortening to chocolate chips if you do not have dipping chocolate
  • Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350 F
    1) Make meringue. Whip the egg whites in a large bowl on high speed until frothey
    2) Gradually add sugar, 1-2 tablespoons at a time, continue whipping until the egg whites form stiff peaks, about 10 min
    3) Gently mix in almond flour
    4) Using a pastry bag with a large pain tip, pipe the egg whites onto the parchment-lined baking sheets. Meringues should be 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide
    5) Bake until crisp, 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool completely.
    6) Melt chocolate and dip meringues.
