Salted Vanilla Bean Caramel Sauce Tell a Friend

  • 1 pounds - Caramel, preferably from a block, Can substitute bagged and unwrapped caramels
  • 1 tablespoons - Vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 teaspoons - Sea salt
  • 1/4 cups - Heavy cream
  • Directions:

    1. Combine caramel, vanilla bean paste, sea salt and heavy cream in a large saucepan set over medium heat. Stirring frequently, continue to heat until the caramel has liquefied and the ingredients have blended together.

    2. When ready to serve, microwave sauce for 20 sec. and stir. Heat at 5-sec. intervals until pourable.

    3. Serve topping w/ ice cream, pound cake, etc.

    Very good served as topping for ice cream, pound cake, angel food cake and more.
