Plum Cake
  • 2 cups - sugar
  • 1 cups - salad oil
  • 3 - eggs
  • 2 jars - baby food plums
  • 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  • 2 cups - sifted self-rising flour
  • 1 teaspoons - ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoons - ground cinnamon
  • Lemon Glaze
  • 1 cups - powdered sugar
  • - juice from one lemon
  • Directions:

    Beat sugar and oil together. Add eggs one at a time.

    Add plums and vanilla, stirring well. Add flour, cloves and cinnamon.

    Pour into a tube pan and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for one hour.

    For Glaze:
    Heat sugar and lemon juice until sugar is dissolved. Pour over hot cake. Let cake cool in pan.
