Pineapple Cheese Ball Tell a Friend

  • 2 packages - 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cans - 8.5 oz. crushed pineapple, well-drained
  • 2 cups - chopped pecans, divided
  • 1/4 cups - green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoons - seasoned salt
  • 1/4 cups - chopped red or green peppers, optional
  • Directions:

    In a large bowl, mash the cream cheese. Add half of the chopped pecans along with the remaining ingredients. Mix well.

    Shape into a ball; roll the ball in the remaining chopped pecans. Wrap in foil and refrigerate.

    (I omit the green or red peppers, but the original recipe called for them).

    Every Christmas Eve my brother-in-law makes this cheese ball. Our Christmas celebrations would be incomplete without it. It has been a family tradition now for at least 30 years.
