Peppermint Bark Hot Chocolate Tell a Friend

  • 1/2 cups - Sugar
  • 1/4 cups - Baking cocoa
  • - Dash of salt
  • 1/2 cups - Hot water
  • 4 cups - Milk
  • 3/4 teaspoons - Vanilla extract
  • 5 - Pieces peppermint bark
  • - Whipped cream, For serving
  • - Chopped peppermint bark, For garnish
  • 5 - Candy canes
  • Directions:

    1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa and salt. Add water; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
    2. Stir in milk and heat over medium heat; don't boil. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract. Whisk until frothy.
    3. Place a piece of peppermint bark in the bottom of a mug. Pour hot chocolate over bark.
    4. Garnish w/ whipped cram and chopped peppermint bark. Add a candy cane on the side. Serve immediately.
