  • 1 whole - chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 - onion, sliced
  • 1 stalks - celery, sliced
  • 1 teaspoons - freshly ground peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoons - salt
  • 1 teaspoons - garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons - oregano
  • Directions:

    Brown the cut up chicken in oil.

    Place in a 2-quart casserole with onion, celery, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper.

    Bake, covered, for 2-1/2 hours at 275 degrees F.

    Thicken liquid, if desired.
