Peanut Butter Sheet Cake Tell a Friend

Ingredients:

Cake
  • 2 sticks - margarine
  • 1 cups - water
  • 1/2 cups - creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups - flour
  • 2 cups - sugar
  • 1 teaspoons - baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/2 cups - sour cream
  • 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  • Frosting
  • 1 sticks - margarine
  • 1/3 cups - milk
  • 1/2 cups - crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 pounds - powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  • - dash of salt
  • - melted chocolate, optional, for drizzling over top
  • Directions:

    Cake:

    In a pan, bring margarine, water and peanut butter to a boil.

    Combine flour, sugar, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Pour boiling mixture into dry ingredients and beat well.

    Beat in eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Pour into greased jellyroll pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 22 minutes.

    Frosting:

    Bring margarine, milk and peanut butter to a boil. Remove from heat and beat in powdered sugar, vanilla and salt.

    Spread on top of cake as soon as cake is removed from oven. Drizzle with melted chocolate, if desired.
