Mexican Pork and Bean Soup Tell a Friend

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pounds - lean ground pork
  • 1 - small onion, diced
  • 1 cloves - garlic, minced
  • 14 1/2 ounces - Chicken Broth
  • 15 ounces - chopped tomatoes, Mexican style
  • 15 ounces - canned pinto beans, drained
  • 1 teaspoons - chili powder
  • 1 teaspoons - cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoons - dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons - cayenne pepper
  • Directions:

    In large heavy saucepan brown and crumble ground pork. Stir in onion and garlic; cook and stir until onion is soft, about 3 minutes. Stir in all remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer about 10 minutes.

    This is a good meal all by itself and when served with a sandwich, turns into a feast!
