Lamb Patties with nutty garlic sauce Tell a Friend

Ingredients:

  • 2 - garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cups - almond butter
  • 4 tablespoons - lemon juice, divided
  • 6 tablespoons - olive oil, divided
  • 1 teaspoons - salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons - ground black pepper
  • 1 pounds - ground lamb, shoulder
  • 1/2 - medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups - parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoons - coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoons - cumin
  • 1/4 heads - red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 - hothouse cucumber, halved lengthwise, thinly sliced
  • 2 - radishes
  • 4 - pita/flatbread
  • - mixed herbs (cilantro/mint)
  • Directions:

    1) Wisk garlic, almond butter, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp olive oil, 2tbsp water until smooth
    2) season with salt and pepper
    3) With hands mix Lamb, onion, parsley, coriander, cumin, 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp pepper in large bowl. Form ino 12 3/4" patties
    4) Heat dry large skillet (cast iron) cook till brown with pink center (4 min a side)
    5) transfer to wire rack (rest 5 minutes)
    6) Toss cabbage, cucumber, radishes, and remaining 2 tbsp lemon juice and 2 tbsp oil in medium bowl
    7) serve with pita, sauce, and vegetables
