Heirloom Tomato and Basil Platter Tell a Friend

  • 2 tablespoons - extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoons - red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoons - water
  • 1/4 teaspoons - finely minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoons - table salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons - freshly ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoons - dried oregano, crumbled
  • 3 - large fresh heirloom tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 - small red onion, very thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cups - fresh torn basil leaves
  • Directions:

    To make dressing, in a small bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, water, garlic, salt, pepper and oregano.

    On a large serving platter, arrange sliced tomatoes, slightly overlapping.

    Scatter onion and basil over top; drizzle with dressing.
