  • 1 boxes - dry macaroni noodles, small box
  • 1 tablespoons - salt
  • 3 tablespoons - butter or margarine
  • 1 blocks - sharp cheddar cheese, grated, 8 oz.
  • 2 1/2 cups - milk
  • 2 - large eggs, or 3 small eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  • 1/8 teaspoons - pepper
  • Directions:

    Cook the box of macaroni according to package directions, adding the tablespoon of salt to the water while cooking.
    After noodles are cooked, drain off water. Then add to the noodles the butter or margarine (use 1 to 4 Tbsp, depending on how rich you like it) and the grated cheddar cheese (reserve a hand full of the cheese for sprinkling on top later).
    In a separate bowl beat together the milk, eggs, salt, and pepper. Then add to the noodle and cheese mixture and stir well.
    Grease a baking dish and pour all ingredients in; cover the top with a hand full of the cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until set and light brown.
