Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cups - Oleo or margarine
  • 1 cups - Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cups - Molasses, green or gold label
  • 1 - Egg
  • 2 cups - Flour
  • 2 teaspoons - Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoons - Ginger
  • 1 teaspoons - Cloves
  • 1 teaspoons - Cinnamon
  • Directions:

    Mix margarine, sugar and molasses well. Add egg, flour, baking soda and spices.

    Form into balls. If too soft, add 1/4 to 1/2 cup more flour. Roll in granulated sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
