Ingredients:

  • 1 kilograms - Carrot
  • 1 1/2 liters - Milk
  • 8 pieces - Green cardamoms
  • 7 tablespoons - ghee/clarified butter
  • 7 tablespoons - Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons - Raisins
  • 1 tablespoons - Shredded almonds
  • 2 tablespoons - Chopped dates
  • Directions:

    1) Do peeling and grating of carrots
    2) Simmer grated carrots in milk along with cardamom, waiting till the milk evaporates
    3) In a heavy pan, heat Ghee and add carrot mix
    4) For 10 to 15 minutes, cook this mix over a gentle flame
    5) Stir in sugar and resume cooking till Halwa assumes a deep red hue
    6) Add dry fruits and serve warm.
