Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cups - brown sugar
  • - sugar, to taste
  • 3 teaspoons - curry powder
  • 1/3 cups - melted butter
  • 16 ounces - can pear halves
  • 16 ounces - peach slices
  • 16 ounces - pineapple chunks
  • 16 ounces - apricot halves
  • - mandarin oranges, save juice
  • 12 - cherries
  • 2/3 cups - sliced almonds
  • - coconut, to taste
  • - pecans, to taste
  • Directions:

    Combine sugar, curry and butter (along with reserved juice from mandarins).

    Arrange fruit and nuts in pot; pour butter mixture over. Cook for 1 hour on range (or at 325 degrees F).

    Refrigerate overnight; reheat until bubbles.
