  • 1 blocks - Mozzerella , Cut in 1/2, Cut halves in 1/2 again, Cut the remaining pieces in half you should end up with 12 pieces
  • 1 whole - egg, beaten frothy
  • 2 cups - Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 4 tablespoons - all purpose flour
  • - salt and pepper, to taste
  • - Vegetable oil, for deep frying
  • Directions:

    Dip cheese pieces in flour, shake off excess then dip in egg, in a shallow pan pour the bread crumbs and cover the cheese, place on a plate until all the cheese pieces are breaded. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan on medium-high heat. Carefully add mozzarella pieces individually be sure not to crowd the pan so they can be turned easily, browning on all sides. Work quickly because the heat will melt the cheese and ooze into the pan and burn. (ideally if you keep the cheese refrigerated a half hour after you bread them, they cook better) Fry to golden brown and serve with Marinara sauce.
