  • 2 3/4 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoons - salt
  • 1 teaspoons - white sugar
  • 1 packages - active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoons - garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoons - oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoons - dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoons - dried basil
  • 1 dashes - ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoons - vegetable oil
  • 1 cups - warm water
  • 2 tablespoons - olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons - parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 1/2 cups - mozzarella - or cheddar, shredded
  • Directions:

Mix yeast and water in a small bowl; add a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar and let proof for 10 minutes (until bubbles begin to form on top).
In large bowl stir together flour, salt, sugar, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, basil, and black pepper. Add the yeast mix and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and combine well. When dough has pulled together, turn out onto lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic (or use stand mixer to combine ingredients and knead).
Lightly oil a large bowl; place dough in bowl and turn dough over to coat it with oil. Cover with a cloth or towel and let rise in warm place about 25 minutes.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Punch dough down and place on greased baking sheet. Pat dough into 1/2-inch thick rectangle shape (not exact). Using your knuckle, make indentations in the dough about 1/2-inch apart; then prick dough with a fork.
Brush top of dough with olive oil, then sprinkle Parmesan and mozzarella (or cheddar) cheese on top.
Bake for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown.
