  • 1 cups - scalded or evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cups - butter, Softened
  • 1 packages - yeast
  • 1/3 cups - warm water
  • 1/2 cups - sugar
  • 1 pinchs - salt
  • 1 - egg
  • 3 1/2 cups - flour
  • Directions:

    Combine milk with butter; set aside. Dissolve yeast in warm water; add sugar, salt, and egg. Add milk. Add flour. Knead in another 1 cup of flour if needed to yield dough consistency. Cover and let rise until double (about 1 hour). Spoon and punch down dough, adding flour as needed. Pinch off rolls in shape of ball and put in greased 9x13-inch baking pan; let rise again for about 30 minutes. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. When done, brush tops with butter before serving.
