  • 4 1/2 pounds - country style ribs with bone, trimmed of all fat, lightly salted and peppered
  • 2 cans - 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cups - tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons - Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoons - chopped garlic
  • 1/2 - pourable Splenda
  • 1/2 cups - red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 - large onion, cut into 1/2-inch slices and then rings halved
  • 2 - green peppers, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • Directions:

    1. In a large crockpot layer first the ribs and then the veggies. Mix sauce ingredients and pour over mixture.

    2. Set crock pot on low and cook for 8 hours or while you're at work.

    3. If the sauce is watery, about 1/2 hour before serving, put the sauce in a sauce pan and cook on medium high heat, watching so it does not burn. It usually reduces to a thick wonderful sauce in about 20 minutes.
