Coconut Cheese Ball Tell a Friend

  • 3 packages - 8 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cups - grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons - mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons - powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cups - finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoons - cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoons - nutmeg
  • 1 cups - shredded coconut
  • Directions:

    Combine all ingredients except coconut, and mix well. Form into a ball. Chill well.

    Before serving, roll cheese ball in shredded coconut. Serve with apples, pears, pineapple or other fresh fruit. Also delicious on snack crackers.

    Store in the refrigerator.

    When we were young marrieds in a new city, one of the grandmas in our church brought this cheese ball to our house for our first holiday away from our family. It instantly became a family favorite, but most of all it was a sweet reminder that it's the simple gestures that open a door for friends to become family.
