Cinnamon Sugar Glazed Walnuts or Pecans Tell a Friend

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons - butter
  • 4 tablespoons - packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons - white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons - maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons - cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons - vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups - walnuts
  • Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil, parchment paper, or silicone baking sheets.

    In a 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat; add sugars, syrup, cinnamon and vanilla, and mix well. Cook until bubbly, stirring constantly.

    Add walnuts; cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until coated.

    Spread mixture onto lined cookie sheet. Bake 3-4 minutes, then stir and return to oven. Bake 2-3 minutes more, and stir again. Bake 2-3 minutes longer or until golden brown.

    Cool completely, for about 20-30 minutes. Store in air-tight container for up to 2 weeks.
