  • 8 cups - either plums, apricots, peaches, pears, etc., chopped
  • 2 - large onions (about 2 cups), chopped
  • 1 cloves - garlic, minced
  • 2 cups - brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cups - raisins
  • 1 tablespoons - chili powder
  • 1 teaspoons - salt
  • 4 cups - cider vinegar
  • Directions:

    Pour vinegar in large kettle; add remaining ingredients and combine.

    Bring to a boil, then lower heat, and simmer until thick (1 to 2 to 3 hours).

    Ladle into hot, sterilized jars; seal and cool.
