  • 1 cups - butter
  • 1/4 cups - icing powdered sugar
  • 2 cups - flour
  • 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  • 1 cups - finely chopped almonds
  • 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  • 1/2 pounds - whole candied cherries
  • - fine granulated sugar, for rolling
  • Directions:

    Cream together butter and sugar. Add flour, salt, almonds and vanilla.

    Use about 1 teaspoon of mixture to cover each whole candied cherry.

    Cook on greased cookie sheet at 325 degrees F for about 35 minutes.

    Roll in fine granulated sugar while still hot.
