  • 1/2 cups - crushed croutons
  • 3 teaspoons - butter
  • 1/3 cups - chopped onions
  • 3 tablespoons - flour
  • 1 teaspoons - salt
  • 1/8 teaspoons - pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups - milk
  • 1 cups - processed cheese
  • 4 cups - cooked sliced carrots
  • 1 teaspoons - parsley flakes
  • Directions:

    Crush croutons fine and set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter; add onions and cook only until tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper, and remove from heat.

    Add milk gradually and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add cheese, and stir until melted.

    Remove from heat, stir in carrots and parsley. Spread mixture in a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle crushed croutons over top.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
