Calico Bean Pot Tell a Friend

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pounds - bacon
  • 1 pounds - ground beef
  • 1/2 cups - diced onion
  • 1/2 cups - catsup
  • 1 cans - 16 oz. pork and beans
  • 1 cans - 16 oz. green baby lima beans, drained
  • 1 cans - 16 oz. kidney beans, drained
  • 1/2 cups - brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoons - prepared mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  • 2 teaspoons - white vinegar
  • Directions:

    Cook and drain bacon. Brown onion in drippings. Remove onions. Discard drippings.

    Brown beef in skillet. Drain off excess fat. Combine all other ingredients and mix well.

    Bake in a 2-1/2 quart casserole dish, covered, at 300 degrees F for 90 minutes. (I cook this in my Dutch Oven on top of the stove).

    Serve when it has come to a steady simmer.
