Bunny’s Pound Cake Tell a Friend

  • 3 sticks - butter, break up, at room temperature
  • 3 cups - sugar
  • 6 - eggs
  • 4 tablespoons - vanilla
  • 3 cups - Swan's cake flour, sifted twice
  • 8 ounces - whipping cream
  • Icing
  • 2 tablespoons - butter
  • 1 cups - powdered sugar
  • 1/8 cups - water, plus more as needed
  • 1 tablespoons - lemon juice
  • Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Beat butter and sugar together for 10 minutes, using spatula to scrape sides down often.

    Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add whipping cream and flour at the same time.

    Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake for 1 hour.

    For Icing:
    Beat together butter, sugar, lemon juice, and water; adding more water as needed to desired consistency. Drizzle over cake.
